Federal Agencies

Healthcare MDM is involved supporting multiple Federal government agencies and entities implementing Healthcare programs. Leveraging our Subject Matter Expertise in multiple arenas, Healthcare MDM applies industry best practices and standards to provide Federally funded initiatives valuable solutions. Healthcare MDM has worked closely with both the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) implementing enterprise portfolio management solutions and providing master data management services

Health and Human Services: Office of the National Coordinator (ONC):

Healthcare MDM has worked closely with the Federal Health Architecture (FHA) and the ONC to develop and manage the Nationwide Health Information Network (NwHIN) Exchange. Working with 26 Federal Health agencies and their implementation partners, Healthcare MDM implemented an Enterprise Architecture solution to enable the secure exchange of electronic health information.

Healthcare MDM was involved in the strategy and management of the open source product Connect to enable multiple disparate Electronic Medical Record and Healthcare systems communicate patient information in a standardized format. The architecture and implementation of the NwHIN provided multiple Federal agencies the ability to communicate healthcare information in a timely and secure fashion with Public and Commercial entities.

Health and Human Services: Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and the Innovation Center (CMMI):

Through the development of the NwHIN, Healthcare MDM established a strong relationship and expertise with CMS working on initiatives such as the Physician Quality Reporting System and the Electronic Submission of Medical Documents (esMD) utilizing the Connect gateway platform.

Demonstrating expertise in Healthcare systems and data management, Healthcare MDM was invited to become a trusted advisor to CMS working on enterprise transformation and providing Enterprise Architecture support to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation Center for 40 accountable care models.

These accountable care models require the capability to effectively collect and exchange information bi-directionally with thousands of healthcare organizations participating in the demonstrations. Baselines of beneficiary, claims, and cost data are used to establish individual program pricing targets.  Our work includes helping to develop of custom applications to monitor organizational involvement with the demonstrations to produce quality metrics and data analytics to evaluate participant’s success in the accountable care models.

Healthcare MDM engages in maintaining the business reference model, assisting each model pass review gates as software development proceeds through the investment lifecycle, coordinating activities and tasking among multiple contractors implementing these initiatives.
